Beautiful poem about lost childhood.

To Any Reader - Robert Louis Stevenson. Click READ MORE. As from the house your mother sees
You playing round the garden trees,
So you may see, if you will look
Through the windows of this book,
Another child, far, far away,
And in another garden, play.
But do not think you can at all,
By knocking on the window, call
That child to hear you. He intent
Is all on his play-business bent.
He does not hear, he will not look,
Nor yet be lured out of this book.
For, long ago, the truth to say,
He has grown up and gone away,
And it is but a child of air
That lingers in the garden there.

Can you solve the riddle in the new personification poem - Nightmare On Toast - @ps4k.com?

Nightmare on Toast - the new riddle and personification poem at ps4k.com

So what's it all about?
What are the sword and 4 daggers metaphors for?
What exactly is that stinking, tummy-rumbling monster coming down the street?
But most importantly, who/what is the poem about?

There are lots of clues, even in the title...

Still stuck?

Click the link to find out. Then read the poem again to see if it makes sense now you know!

Keep Our World Clean!!! by 12 year old Robbie Davidson

I recently received a fantastic email from Robbie. She had been set a school task to write and perform a speech about the "inspiring words of someone else." She had chosen my poem, The Different Path. I was totally bowled over. Even better, she attached one of her own amazing poems about the environment. I especially love the lines, "That leaves just a few, who want to stop the aliens staring." It's a definitely a poem to make you THINK.

Click to read, "Keep Our World Clean!!!"

It might even inspire you to send in one of your own poems. PS4K would love to hear from you!

Sparks - What will you invent with yours?

Kinda cool to think that nearly everything in the world started as a spark in someone's head. What will you create with your sparks?

Tell us about the fantastic-futuristic inventions you're planning to unleash on the world when you get older...

The Sparks Question Mark
(Can you find everything from the poem represented in The Sparks Question Mark?)
